Claude's home page

   Born in Brussels, Belgium, during WWII Claude's family moved to the French Riviera in 1945.

   Claude grew up in Provence, amongst the big pine trees and the "cigales", by the superb Mediterranean sea side, near Saint Tropez.

   He even learned to speak the Provençal dialect!

   His father, the famous painter Maurice Legrand, taught him how to appreciate the nicest things nature had to offer.

   His mother taught him how to cook. this became one of his big hobbies.

   On his father's side the family was involved in engineering and manufacturing mechanical parts of all kinds. This brought him the love of cars. he has owned over 400 of them.

   He spent a large part of his life in the automobile world then in the fascinating world of advertising. Advertising allowed him to travel all over the world for many years;

   Having learned with his father how to look at things, he acquired fabulously rich memories from all the continents he visited.

   More than ever Claude is still curious and keep his eyes open on anything new, interesting or unusual.

   Claude has written some books on How to Sell, some cookbooks and is on the process of writing another book on the way foreigners should look at America.

   Claude and Iwona have 4 children (all born in the USA and 8 grand-childre of which tow were born in the US as well).

  My name is Claude.  I was born under the zodiac sign of Cancer. My color is white like all Cancerians. My extreme sensitivity has been my best "guide" all my life.

     We have had the chance to travel extensively all over the world, Europe, USA, Far East and Black Africa. We gathered many tastes and made many contacts. We stay away from the mass producers to bring what we feel and think is really genuine.

   One of my big hobby is cooking and collecting cookbooks (I have over 3 000 of them).

   But I love nice automobiles, jewels and diamonds, watches, nice pens, in fact anything nice always brings goose bumps to my skin when I discover them.
